So Google has thrown its hat into the social media arena by introducing Google Buzz which, simply put, is an update-type system similar to Twitter inside your Gmail account.

So if you use Gmail on a daily basis to chat with friends, you can now post status updates for all your friends to see.
There has been mixed reviews in the internet world about whether or not there is room for yet another social service and if Google is trying to either beat out Facebook and Twitter, or join them. Only time will tell, so in the meantime you can either use Buzz or not…I mean it’s right underneath “Inbox” in you Gmail so how can you avoid it!?
